Abstract Magazine is an award-winning collectible print publication that celebrates local lifestyle and culture in Hawai‘i. The magazine is sponsored by the AIGA Honolulu Inkubator and Electric Pencil. Writers, photographers, illustrators, and emerging designers mentored by professional designers collaborate to create each issue.

Project details

I had the pleasure of designing both articles written by Abstract’s Hawaiian Language Specialist, Jason K. Ellinwood. Each issue of Abstract sports a 5th Pantone spot-color, and for this issue it was PANTONE 8785 C, a metallic purple color to match the “Midnight Hawai‘i” theme.
